Team Quick-Step is looking to their hometown rider Allan Davis to lead their team in the Tour Down Under.
While team Director Rik De Slijcke feels confident Davis isn't the only Quick-Step rider capable of scoring a win, the rider has had success at the race in the past.
De Slijcke told press agency Belga, "We will rely mainly on Allan Davis. He is our home rider and absolute leader. But we have other guys who can put in a good performance. Dries Devenyns for example, will want to show himself."
Race promoters have modified the usual Tour Down Under route to make it more challenging for riders. The race is in it's second year of having Pro Tour status, and will feature the return of Astana's Lance Armstrong to the peloton.
