I have a 10 speed Dura Ace 7800 RD that I want to put on my TT bike. The Front Der. is a Dura Ace 7700 (9spd?). Question is: what Dura Ace Bar end shifters would work? Two 10 speed versions are available the SL BS78 and the SL BS79. It appears that the SL BS78 would work fine, but what about the BS79. Is the only difference that the 79 doesn't have a friction option? Do I care if it doesn't have a friction option on my TT bike?

They both will work fine. BTW I run friction on all my bikes at the present, why, because I can use any derailleur, wheel, cassette combination I like.
