I'd be surprised if there wasn't some hanky panky going on with Sky.

I'm suspicious about Froome's rapid change from mule to winner (sure its possible). I'm suspicious of the team dominance year after year (sure money could explain this). I could let this go if it wasn't for all of the other smoke around the team, from the hiring of Leinders, to the jiffy bag, the TUEs, to the findings of the UKAD/parliamentary investigation.

With that many questions we know the answer. So yeah, if Froome where to leave Sky he'd go back to being an also-ran pretty sure.

Agreed that Froome is an above-average bike-handler....but that isn't what was driving my previous comments. He just doesn't have the build / kick to be able to win monuments (outside of Liege, and then only if it played out perfectly for him). Actually, Lombardia is probably the one monument which he is best suited for...

I don't know how any reasonable person can entertain the idea that SKY is clean....a SKY supporter, IMO, is very similar to a Trump supporter...emotion has clouded their objectivity. It is nothing more than a variation of extreme partisanship. You saw it with the Lance fanboiz as well....so emotionally attached to their hero that they could not face the reality that was starkly staring them in the face.

We've seen this movie before....
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

CK, agree with your last two posts on this thread. Lots of good points made.
OC, Part of my disbelief with CF (like you) is all the other stuff going on with the team.
79, Yes I concur that if Froome left Sky (even Geraint too, for that matter) there would be a noticeable drop in performance.

A commenter/poster on another Internet site made an interesting observation about this year's Tour. We now have two guys from the same (dominating) team in 1st & 2nd, and could stay that way. That's something even the supposed dirtiest team in the sport (Postal/Disco) couldn't pull of in their day. That should be enough to raise some eyebrows. Circumstantial? Yes, but still makes you wonder.

Reading the LeMond/ Badger and LeMond/ Fignon TdF's stories and was struck by the back and forth, good day/ jour sans/ good days that they all had as the yellow jersey went back and forth as opposed to the total dominance of Sky and never a bad day racing for Puff Daddy in all these years (ok, maybe one in this years Giro).

Yeah... in the immortal words of -7, I don't believe so go ahead and call me a hater if you wish, I just prefer skeptic.
