Thieves steal 6,000 saddles---worth about 1 million euros ($1,4 million)---from the Selle San Marco warehouse. the saddles were stored in more than 300 boxes ready to be shipped. They were the 2014 models. Buying a 2014 San Marco saddle might be a problem.

Too bad these weren't the Brookes Pros of the old days. Then a fitting sentence could be to make that thief ride those seats, a different one each day, for 30 miles/'50k until he has ridden them all. (That would be a 16 year sentence. But he would never have to go behind bars.)

But San Marcos are too comfortable. He's just get very fit.

Thankfully , I ride Terry and Specialized. (And the Terrys are (or at least used to be) made by Selle Italia and all my bike are saddled, so I think I am safe.
