Cyclingnews today - "Wiggins revealed that he will be close to eight kilogrammes heavier than his Tour de France weight when he rides the individual time trial at the world championships in Tuscany on Wednesday September 25." Really? Who in their right mind would willingly put almost 20 lbs back on, knowing how bloody hard it is to lose it again to find climbing form? Even if you DO want to win the world TT championship. He would have to be eating a lot and spending his days pushing weights. Is there something else going on? Weight gain due to nefarious product use?

A quirk in the system. The first post in the thread will not format into paragraphs. A work around is to post a period as the initial comment, then reply to that as you'll be able to use a paragraph

for breaks between paragraphs.

Well I'm as sharp as a spoon! If I type it it doesn't show, it just makes a break. Between a left arrow and a right arrow type br/. If you want a break and a line space repeat it.

Wiggins' weight sounds suspiciously like the infamous Jan Ullrich training regime of yore.

Has anyone seen the IT course profile? Is it a primarily downhill course? If so, maybe he's on to something.

I wonder if this as part of his challenges at the Giro last spring.

Me thinks it has more to do with how much weight they lose and how much the deprive the body before the Tour than how much weight he needs to "put" back on. As a former wrestler that played football at 215 and wrestled the end of year tournaments at 170, getting up to 190 was just eating normally for a a couple of weeks. At 170 you could count each of my ribs, still 20 pounds over the "Chicken" look.
