Had plans for a big ride on Saturday but fell through the second floor joists to the slab below as I am building my house this Summer.
Just f*cked up. Pretty bruised up, but the swelling of most body parts has reduced. My calf, jaw and bicep bore the majority of the fall. My calf was swollen to the size of a normal human calf ; ) Incredibly sore to the touch, but feeling much better this morning as I get ready to start again.

I rode the trainer yesterday and was much nicer than walking, so that's was good.
Regardless of the fall, this sh*t is taking its toll, and I've really just started... |

The construction is taking its toll? I bet, that is hard work when you are not used to it. You will have to get in shape for that, too. Personally, I think harvesting timber is perhaps the most tasking of those yard jobs. Absolutely deadly. Bucking and limbing are killer.
Is that Glacier Peak? Incredible view, and incredibly jealous of your Methow Valley location. Some day we might do something on the family plot outside of leavenworth, but it will be a while, and does not have your view! |

The list of injuries + crashes this year continues. I believe I was one of the 1st ones with my snowy crash in Feb but it's a pretty long list by now. Hopefully you'll get over it quick.
Remember working in construction last Summer in high school. That was tough, hauling heavy stuff all day long. |

Wow, not good. Still, you are lucky nothing worse happened.
On your double wall cavity - are you filling with foam, cellulose or a combo? I was reading the new Fine Homebuilding Houses issue in which they have all ultra efficient houses. Many commented how difficult it was to seal up the envelope when not using sprayed foam. One that used dense pack cellulose said next time he'd tape the seams more before going to the caulking gun. They sealed before insulating (using a blower door several times in the process) but thought taping inside as well as out would be faster. |

Definitely appreciative of the fact that it could have been much worse - I am lucky!
2" of spray in foam, then most likely loose fill fiberglas, possibly cellulose. |

I'm glad to hear you are OK.
Today we had had a worker fall through the tongue and groove ceiling boards while installing an alarm system at our new, to us, house. He was luckier than you. |
