Wiggins is quoted as saying "That would allow me to have a go at Roubaix again and then try to do the [2015] Tour in the role of a super domestique, like I wanted to do this year – ride on the Champs-Élysées with the yellow jersey behind me."

Seems Froome is too insecure to want a teammate who aspires to be a "super domestique".

Wouldn't it be choice if Froome doesn't win and all the speculation begins to fly, "If only he had Wiggins to help him."

thin, or Froome crashes out on the cobbles doing something that Wiggins, who has some experience there, could have helped him with.

I didn't watch the video of Froome testing the cobbles, but I have think that Wiggens being there to share some of his knowledge could be a huge benefit for Froome.  (The idea of watching Froome on that stuff had zero appeal to me!)

A very real part of Tour prep is working to minimze losses.  Ie TTs if that isn't your bag.  (Andy Schleck?)  Potential crashes if cobbles isn't.  Poor decisions if your name is, say, Valverde. Etc, etc.

What CK said except I like Wiggo

Froome boy will crash out on the cobbles; saw some pics of the skeleton practising how to ride them; no way he's gonna survive.

I saw that photo as well. I see a forced de-bike on the cobbles for Froomey myself.
