Fidea rider dominates nationals on way to fourth consecutive title

zdenek stybarZdenek Stybar has won his fourth consecutive Czech National cyclocross title, his third with the professionals. The Fidea rider and current world champion beat Martin Zlámalík by 53 seconds. The third place went to  Jaroslav Kulhavý, who was 1'19 behind in the end.

The race in Hlinsko was held on a parcours that was mostly cleared by the surrounding snow - except for the pit area, which made for some wobbly bike changes. Stybar was riding solo most of the race, as his big rival, Radomir Simunek, was injured.

Kulhavý was able to hold Stybar's wheel in the first lap, but had to settle for bronze in the end.

Results

1. Zdenek Stybar 1h04
2. Martin Zlámalík 0'53
3. Jaroslav Kulhavý 1'19
