Holy crap.....check out this paint job. You may remember the custom-painted Martini Shiv TT frame that I posted pics of awhile ago.

Guy is at it again, this time painting a Shiv Tri in the Red Bull team colors. AFAIK, he has never ridden the previous bike, and I doubt this will ever see the road (much) either. But WOW......he has been documenting the process for MONTHS over on ST. Not only does he have a crapload of cash, he has the patience of Jobe!! But I guess if you don't really ride 'em, it doesn't matter.

If "Garish" is the word that comes to my mind, does that mean I'm old?

I do appreciate the effort and talent, but not the taste or the outcome.

Damn. I am old ; )

Might not want to own either one but they look fabulous. Fast looking too.

Under a legitimate pro in a real race that *might* look OK but under the typical can't-drive-a-bike-tri-geek… not so much.

I don't know the story on these, but why did he leave the "sworks" logos on there?

I do like how the bars on the red bull bike are suggestive of a bull's horns.

Th "story" is that the guy is a hge auto racing fan, primarily F1, so he had the two bikes painted along the lines of the livery of some of his favorite teams.

Went back and checked out the thread....he started the design of the paint scheme back in March and they just finished painting it. Who has that kind of time / patience? What's even funnier is that he STILL has not picked out what components he will be running on the thing.....seriously? 9 motnhs isn't enough for you to decide between Di2 or Campag EPS?

Here's the thread detailing the process....worth looking at since it shows the incredible work the painter did.

Best thread remark: "Here we go again, can't wait to see it on ebay. "

150 hours to paint!?! He must hate money to burn it like that

Dude is at it again....he still has not finished the previous bike (Shiv Tri) but he has started working on a paint scheme for a Specialized Venge. (I have no doubt it it is the McLaren model, either)....

Wish I could get my hands on that kind of disposable income....Dayum.
