I don't keep track, but since I commute to work daily (35 M) and do a century every other Weekend I'm guessing my annual total is somewhere close to 10k Miles

I would be close to 6000 except for an abdominal hernia last year at this time.
For recovery, Doc let me get on the trainer after a week but I could only turn the cranks and not even work up a sweat for about 2 weeks. After that I slowly increased time and effort reaching 1 hour on the trainer after 3 weeks and getting my HR to the top of Zone1. 1st road ride was exactly 4 weeks after surgery. For the next 8 weeks it was Maffetone every ride 4-5 times per week. After 5 weeks, I went back to the weight room for weight training and stretching. I started with about 30 % of my usual load and went up about 5% per week. After 12 weeks, I started pacelines and group rides again and by 18 weeks, I was back to full strength on and off the bike.

It's November 11, people. What are we counting miles for already? There's a good 6 weeks of riding left in this year!

Yup. 7.25 weeks actually.

Impressive numbers fellas. Usually this is the time of year that I switch to mtn bike and I would have gotten maybe another 200 miles if the weather allowed but I'll never know and I'll miss the trails this year, especially with the beautiful fall we are having. I am hoping to get myself into the gym by Jan and hopefully I can be on the trail by February and road by March. I read somewhere that an average pro rides about 15k a year including races. That's miles. Sounds about right for a full time job.

Closing in on 5000 miles (maybe 5% off-road on the old Yeti), I've had to reset my computer several times though due to malfunctions, etc. Add to that maybe 800 miles of running and maybe 200 miles of swimming, it's been an all-right year.

I would be the opposite with way way more days off road. Probably 200 plus rides. I also have 40 - 50 days of skiing every season too plus days where I only walk my dogs. I probably have about 1000 km only on my road bike. Off road is really slow speed here so I think in terms of hours. Probably 250 to 500 hours a year?

This past late winter and summer was not good with the efudex thing. I only started feeling better in September. Soooo tired most of the year. I kept running out of gas on a number of climbs I can usually power up.

Coming up on 6,000 miles. Had hoped to make 7k miles, but then a week out of town for business and now a supervisor in a different location quit so I have two sites to cover - not getting in as many weekday miles. Have to kill it over the long holiday weekends to make it. Hope it doesn't rain too much. But this is California...

Approaching 100 kilometers...on the one metric that matters, vertical.

Rain doesn't matter, its a mind set.

Just short of 3K for the year....which when you consider that I haven't ridden regularly since the end of April, that's ain't too shabby. I think I have less than 500 miles since May 1.
Just say "NO!" to WCP!!!!

I've got about as many hours in as normal this year. Miles vary too much year to year depending on what bike I'm riding and where. Did a couple of three day trips to do fairly technical mountain bike rides, where I spent 3 to 4 hours a day on the bike but went all of 75 miles over the 3 days, as opposed to the 75 miles a day it would have been on road bike.

Struggling with the transition to indoor training this fall. Just trying to finish out a good cross season before everything in my life changes in about 8 weeks.

I'm at about 3,600 miles for the outdoor season, which is basically over. I would have cracked 4,000 easily but for month off the bike as a result of an atrial flutter episode. Back on the Spinner bike for the winter. I tend to log about 8 hours a week on that, then hiking on Saturdays and skiing on Sundays once the mountain opens. Did a 10 mile hike Saturday that was pretty cool. Started in chilly fall weather, worked up into winter conditions breaking trail in about a foot to foot and a half of snow, then back down to upper 50s and sunny at the base. Pretty fun. If I hadn;t hiked I woulda biked :-)

PA, I like that the Strava has your elevation for the season. Pretty cool number to have!

I demand a calibration--- racing cyclocross ought to count for 10 times the milage

Raced three time last weekend in Tulsa and three time at Jingle Cross this weekend. I'm more fried doing those 4 hours/ 45 miles of racing than doing 500 mlles on the road in 10 days

and that was a crap load of effort just to get a handful of mid-pack finishes. I need to find older and slower guys to race against

I don't know Dale; if we're gonna allow that then next thing you know you're gonna have guys (or galls) asking for exception cause they been riding into the wind, or uphill, or on a poorly inflated tire.

… or if we're just bad out of shape and riding 50 miles is harder

Yeah, scratch the idea. I'll just quietly whimper to myself about the injustice of it all
